I'm using Tangent's version and he suggests it's going to drop the signal by 6-10db. The meier crossfeed in foobar2000 sounds pretty good but obviously thats just.I understand that the crossfeed circuits out there attenuate the signal by a fair amount. Where practically all other headphones present over-separated stereo, the ZIKs present it realistically as per a decent pair of speakers, phased crossfeed that stereo is mastered for, without the complication of real speakers in a listening room, and without need of special Meier filters etc.I've been gone for 5 years!! I'm set on making MPC-HC my primary player after over 10 years with VLC.Possible sound improvement if using a digital headphone crossfeed 0. Great quality case to store and protect the excellent ZIK 3.

"Enable Mixing" in LAV Audio Decoder (setting the output speakers to "stereo") After years of research (including many contradicting advice!) I have long wondered the proper way to do this. How can I add the "Add to MPC-HC Playlist" option for RAR file context menu?I am often forced to use headphones these days. It's broke from the Open or Quick Open.
I thought this way of associating it implied it was not "internal" (bad nomenclature with the filter name I know ) I did not see this anywhere, bur am I supposed to use the "external filters" tab like I used to so with ffdshow raw, LAV, etc? (In fact, I did not think *any* renderers are chosen at that sxreen! (MadVr etc.)Your second link seems to point to what its crossfeed does, but I still do not understand: am I better off spending the normal 5.1 channel signal to the renderer and trust this logic or have the LAV Audio Decoder (or even AC3Filter!) down-mix to two channels before getting to this renderer? Thanks again for your help! I realize most of this information is out there, but I spent hours on different sites finding contradictory answers so I felt it worthwhile to ask directly. Supposedly they messed up the channel output and it needs to be corrected by ffdShow!! )First I apologize, I was being lazy typing the version number, I am using version 1.7.10.252 with "internal audio renderer" selected under "Audio Renderer" on the "Output" screen. Should I "Enable stereo crossfeed (for headphones)"? And if so, what settings should I use?Of course most people prefer simple answers however, after all the conflicting information I have read (for instance, one guide said that PowerDVD's filter was the only decoder to properly down-mix Dolby, but like everything else from Cyberlink, there are flashes of brilliance combined with sheer idiocy. Should I still use LAV Audio Decoder to down-mix 5.1 Audio to stereo? But I will not pretend to know anything about these crossfeed settings.
